South Korea 10 Day Itinerary: Perfect Trip Plan

10 Days

I’ve been to South Korea twice, and I’ll say this: 10 days is the sweet spot. You get enough time to feel the energy of Seoul, walk the streets of Busan, and breathe in the views of Jeju Island without rushing.

But I know how it feels staring at a blank itinerary. Where do you start? What do you skip? How do you fit it all in?

That’s exactly why I put this guide together. It’s simple, practical, and covers everything you need for a trip you’ll talk about for years.

Trip Overview

This 10-day itinerary covers three destinations, each with its own vibe. It’s designed to give you a real feel for South Korea without feeling rushed.

You’ll spend 4 nights in Seoul taking in the culture, shopping, and city life. Then 3 nights in Busan for beaches, fresh seafood, and coastal views. It’s a much more relaxed pace compared to Seoul, which is a welcome change. Finally, 2 nights on Jeju Island to slow things down completely with waterfalls, volcanic landscapes, and open skies.

The trip flows naturally from one place to the next, and logistics are simple once you have the plan in hand.

Best time to visit? Spring (April to June) or Autumn (September to November). The weather is comfortable, the scenery is at its best, and the crowds are far more manageable than peak summer.

Trip Highlights

  • Gyeongbokgung Palace is one of Seoul's most iconic landmarks. It's massive, well-preserved, and gives you a real window into Korea's royal history. Go early to beat the crowds.
  • Bukchon Hanok Village sits right in the heart of Seoul. It's a traditional neighborhood filled with old Korean houses, narrow alleyways, and great photo spots around every corner.
  • Haeundae Beach is Busan's most famous stretch of sand. It's perfect for a slow morning walk, a seafood lunch nearby, or just sitting and watching the waves.
  • Gamcheon Culture Village is one of those places you don't expect to love as much as you do. Colorful houses stacked on a hillside, street art, and small cafes tucked into every corner.
  • Hallasan Mountain on Jeju Island is a must if you're up for a hike. It's the highest peak in South Korea and the views from the top are hard to beat.
