China Trip Overview

China is not just one experience. It packs ancient walled cities, warrior statues, and glittering modern skylines all into one country.

The ideal 10-day route is Beijing, then Xi’an, then Shanghai. This path moves naturally from north to central to east. Beijing gives you imperial history.

Xi’an gives you ancient wonders. Shanghai gives you modern China at its finest. Each city tells a completely different story.

The best time to visit is April to May or September to October. Weather stays pleasant and crowds stay manageable. Summers get hot and humid, especially in Shanghai.

High-speed trains connect all three cities comfortably. Beijing to Xi’an takes around five hours. Xi’an to Shanghai takes around six hours.
