Trip Overview

A good trip needs a clear plan. Our route takes you through the best of the Amalfi Coast over 7 days, with time built in for beaches, boat rides, and slow mornings by the sea. Each stop adds something different.

Positano gives you color and energy. Capri gives you open water and island calm. Ravello gives you quiet and culture above the noise.

The main stops are Positano (2 nights), Capri day trip, Amalfi Town (2 nights), and Ravello and Vietri sul Mare (final days). We handle all the planning. You enjoy the coast.

Spring (April to June) and early Autumn (September to October) are the best times to visit. Avoid August if you can. The coast gets very crowded and prices rise sharply. Getting around is easiest by ferry and local SITA buses, both of which we include in your package.

For stays, we mix cliffside boutique hotels in Positano with well-located properties in Amalfi Town. Every property is hand-picked for location and value.

Trip Highlights

Days 1 to 2: Positano arrival, cliff walks, beach time, and the town's famous colored houses and narrow lanes.
Day 3: Path of the Gods hike above the coast, followed by beach time in Praiano, a quieter town most visitors skip.
Day 4: Full day trip to Capri Island with boat access to the Blue Grotto and time in Capri Town.
Day 5: Private boat tour along the coastline, visiting Amalfi Town and the small hidden village of Atrani next door.
Day 6: Ravello, perched 350 meters above sea level, with its famous gardens, cathedral, and open-air concert venue.
Day 7: Vietri sul Mare for ceramic shops and a slower pace, followed by Fiordo di Furore and the Emerald Grotto before departure.

Day 01 :

Arrival & Positano Exploration

We arrange your transfer from Naples Airport or Naples Central Station so your first day is stress-free. The drive to Positano takes around 1.5 to 2 hours along the coastal road.

After checking in, take a slow walk down to Spiaggia Grande, Positano's main beach. Walk the narrow Via dei Mulini, stop for a limoncello, and watch the town light up in the evening.

Stay Recommendation:Le Sirenuse. One of the most respected hotels on the coast. Clifftop pool, warm staff, and views across the rooftops straight to the sea.

Day 02 :

Path of the Gods, Praiano & Beach Time

Start the morning on the Sentiero degli Dei, the Path of the Gods. This trail runs along the ridge above the coast and takes about 3 hours to complete. The views are unlike anything else on this trip.

Come back down to Praiano in the afternoon, a small fishing village with far fewer visitors than Positano. Spend the rest of the day at Marina di Praia, a tiny beach tucked between two cliffs.

Stay Recommendation:Hotel Onda Verde, Praiano. A well-placed, family-run hotel on the quiet side of the coast with a good restaurant and direct beach access.

Day 03 :

Day Trip to Capri Island

Board the morning ferry from Positano to Capri. The crossing takes about 50 minutes. On arrival, book a small motorboat tour around the island to visit the Blue Grotto, the Faraglioni rocks, and the White Grotto.

Spend the afternoon in Capri Town or take the chairlift up to Monte Solaro for views across the Tyrrhenian Sea. Return by evening ferry.

Stay Recommendation: (Overnight in Positano) Hotel Marincanto. A calm, well-run hotel with a pool and sea-facing rooms at a fair price point for the coast.

Day 04 :

Boat Tour, Amalfi Town & Atrani

Today is your private boat day. The boat picks you up from Positano and takes you along the coast, stopping at sea caves, hidden coves, and quiet swimming spots before dropping you in Amalfi Town.

Spend the afternoon in Amalfi. Visit the Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, walk the main street, and pick up some handmade paper, a local craft the town has been known for since the 12th century.

Then walk 10 minutes to Atrani, one of the smallest towns in Italy and almost always crowd-free.

Stay Recommendation: Hotel Amalfi. Clean, central, and well-priced. Walking distance from everything in Amalfi Town.

Day 05 :

Ravello & Local Experiences

Take the local bus up the hill to Ravello, about 20 minutes from Amalfi. This town sits above the noise of the coast and feels completely different from the towns below.

Visit Villa Rufolo and its famous terraced gardens, which drop off toward the sea. The view from the belvedere has been painted and photographed for centuries.

Walk to Villa Cimbrone in the afternoon from a different angle. In the evening, check if the Ravello Festival has any performances scheduled. The concerts are held outdoors on a stage that appears to float above the water.

Stay Recommendation:Hotel Parsifal, Ravello. A converted 13th-century convent with simple, quiet rooms and a terrace that looks straight out to sea.

Day 06 :

Vietri sul Mare Discovery

Head east to Vietri sul Mare, the last town on the Amalfi Coast before Salerno. This town is known across Italy for its hand-painted ceramics. Every surface, from flowerpots to church domes, is covered in blue, yellow, and green tiles.

Spend the morning walking the ceramic workshops and picking up a piece or two to take home. In the afternoon, walk down to the beach at Marina di Vietri and relax before heading back to Amalfi for the night.

Stay Recommendation: Same Amalfi hotel (Hotel Amalfi).

Day 07 :

Beach Time, Fiordo di Furore & Emerald Grotto

Your final day starts with a visit to Fiordo di Furore, a narrow fjord carved between two cliffs with a tiny beach at the bottom. It is one of the most photographed spots on the coast and very easy to miss if you do not know it is there.

From there, visit the Grotta dello Smeraldo, the Emerald Grotto. Unlike Capri's Blue Grotto, this one is entered from land via an elevator cut into the cliff.

The water glows green from light filtering through underwater openings. Return to Amalfi for your transfer back to Naples.

Stay Recommendation: No overnight. Transfer back to Naples Airport or Naples Central Station is arranged by us.
