We have designed this itinerary after planning dozens of France trips for first-time and repeat travelers. We know which routes work, which cities connect well, and where your time is genuinely best spent.
This guide covers Paris, Provence, and the French Riviera day by day. You will get hotel picks, transport tips, and a full plan you can actually follow without the stress. No guesswork, just real clarity.
Trip Overview
This 10-day route covers Paris, Provence, and the French Riviera. You start with the city, shift to the countryside, and finish by the coast. Each region feels different, keeping the pace fresh throughout.
Paris, Provence, and the French Riviera each get 3 nights. Spring (April to June) and fall (September to October) are the best times to visit. Weather stays pleasant, crowds are smaller, and prices are easier on the budget.
Take the high-speed train to Provence, rent a car for the countryside villages, then switch to trains for the Riviera. Stays include city hotels in Paris, boutique properties in Provence, and a well-located hotel in Nice.
