Greece Trip Overview
Greece is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. Ancient ruins sit beside crystal-clear water. Fresh seafood is served at cliffside restaurants. Every island has its own personality.
This 10-day plan follows a simple and smart route: Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, and Crete. Each stop adds something different, covering history, sunsets, nightlife, and beaches.
Athens gives you the cultural and historical base. Santorini adds romance and scenic views. Mykonos brings energy and beach time. Crete offers both history and relaxation in one place.
Best time to visit: May to June or September to October. The weather is warm, crowds are smaller, and prices are lower than peak summer.Getting around: Ferries are the most popular option between islands. Short domestic flights are also available and sometimes faster. Book both in advance, especially in summer.
Trip Highlights
- Days 1–3: Athens grounds you in history at the Acropolis and its museum, then Santorini rewards you with one of the most beautiful sunsets on earth.
- Days 3–6: The islands take over, from a slow morning in Oia to a lively night in Mykonos and a full day visiting the beaches and ruins of Crete.
- Days 7–10: Crete's Samaria Gorge leads into the ancient sanctuary of Delphi, then Meteora's cliff-top monasteries, before Athens pulls you back for one last evening under the Acropolis.
